This 140,000 sq. ft., 4-story heart center is devoted exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of heart problems.
Installation of 15kv high voltage cabling was utilized to power two 3200 amp main switchboards. These switchboards provided
power and lighting for patient rooms, four catheter labs with graphic eye dimming systems, four operating rooms with isolation
panels, and an MRI unit. Additionally, we installed a 1000kw critical power generator. Our contract also included the installation
of an addressable fire alarm system, intercom/paging system, door access system, and nurse call system. We also provided
power and lighting for an emergency helicopter pad. In all, we installed 123,620 ft (23.4 miles) of conduit and 974,699 ft
(184.6 miles) of copper wire. |
The new laboratory will feature a staff of over
200 professionals working with the most advanced analytical equipment—including an automated robotic line. BBEC’s
involvement in the project consisted of lighting, fire alarm system, power distribution and a wall duct system for the medical
equipment. |
